Well, BIG was known for being phenomenal on Dust2. Now playing once again without s1n and with a full lineup instead of Gob B we have no clue what to expect. They’re in our opinion a bit overrated and we have literally 0 clue what BIG will pick here. Will most likely see Mirage or Vertigo and even then we don’t really think they’re good enough to beat G2. But the current odds on G2 aren’t that good which is why we can’t just go for an outright G2 moneyline bet.
Either way we expect G2 to either pick Inferno or Nuke here and to see G2 crushing opponents such as FaZe, Vitality, Heroic on that map time after time knowing that FaZe is one of the best teams in the world on it we just don’t see BIG standing a chance whatsoever unless G2 just doesn’t show up at all and even though G2 will have to start t-side on Nuke which is heavily ct-sided we still think that they’ll just run BIG over. They’re that much better on both Inferno & Nuke. Both individually but also overall as a team and after seeing them in the blast world finals we have no doubt that they’ll show up big time to continue their success with a great start in 2023.
So to summarize this, with Dust2 being removed and based on G2’s map pool we don’t see this going any other way than as a victory for G2 and especially on their map pick.
